Mime4Net is java to .Net port of Mime4j - one of the best Mime parsers. Mime4Net includes lightweight parser that gets the message stream in plain RFC822 and MIME format. It operates using only basic parsing commands; that's why it parses messages very quickly. All additional operations, encoding/decoding is transparently supported by Message class.

Using callback mechanism, the parser raises parsing events such as start of an entity header, start of a body, etc. In terms of callbacks API, Mime4Net interface is similar to popular SAX XML parser. You can easily get started with it.

Building MIME message tree structure

With Mime4Net, you can easily navigate message structure. This component builds a tree representation of an e-mail message using the Message class. You may reference online documentation to study all its properties and methods.

Mime4Net automatically handles decoding of fields and bodies and can be used to extract attachments. Like no other component it is extremely tolerant against messages violating the standards!

Compatibility and standards supporting
